Debel Iteritas Alia - Noise Engineering PreOwned
Noise Engineering
We just got in this module as a trade-in. The module is in good condition as you can se in the picture,
The all-new Debel Iteritas Alia graces Noise Engineering's module platform with a massive sound thanks to additive phase modulation.
Features:
Like Noise Engineering's Versio and Legio modules, the Alia series is a modular platform. The point is variety, thanks to interchangeable firmware and thus interchangeable sound. All you have to do is connect your module to your computer via USB cable to switch between different firmwares for free. There are of course panels and overlays to make the front panel match the loaded module! Alia focuses on oscillators and immediately includes two classics from Noise Engineering's lineup, but…
Debel Iteritas Alia is an entirely new sound source based on this Alia platform. It uses additive phase modulation (PM), which allows for a huge sound spectrum. PM is a rather complex process, especially with 16 oscillators involved as in DIA. However, Noise Engineering have gone to great lengths to make DIA playable and (relatively) predictable.
The available parameters for additive synthesis: Octave, Detune and Index let you mix in oscillators. You can then detune the modulators and set how much the modulator modulates the carrier. These parameters alone, in combination with the Taco/Nacho/Diablo switch, give you a wide range The switch selects different PM algorithms and is, like every parameter here, CV controllable!
The integrated envelope is simple a simple affair- intentionally. There is a shared time parameter for the attack and decay time. The set time can then be assigned to attack and decay with the Shape parameter. End-of-chain there is Grit. This is – of course – a saturation/distortion thingy.
